Perfect Herb Roasted Turkey Recipe that has a crisp skin and juicy, flavorful meat! This turkey cooks up gorgeous with a medium golden color and speckled with spices.

If you've never made a whole turkey then follow alone as I take you from start to finish! First we start with a rich buttermilk brine and spices to marinate the turkey in. This will cause the meat to become super moist!

Next we scold the turkey to seal in the juices, rub on a savory spice mixture and then we roast it to perfection!!!

  • Im with nmacias. I don't understand the purpose of the buttermilk when you're going to rinse off.

  • @ViriBean The buttermilk mixture is only a brine. It's purpose is to deeply tenderize the meat and make it super moist. Once the turkey has sat in the buttermilk brine, there is no need for it anymore. It has done it's job, so it needs to be rinsed off. Example: Think of it like coloring your hair. You put the coloring in, let it do it's thing and then you rinse it out.
