Yeah. EMD is headquartered in La Grange, Illinois, USA. But the engines were made in Canada since La Grange doesn't build these engines. They only design them.

Yes that's true as the class 66 is a EMD product it shares a number of key components with other north American designs. With the introduction of the class 59 in 1983 and class 66 in 1998 came for the first time the sounds of EMD traction to Britain.
