@SoapLoversUnite your son did a fantastic job on the molds. He has skills.
I happen to love the cold/oven process. So much better than hot or cold ...to me. Question. Do you always cover yours in the oven? I seem to get a lighter colored soap on top? Color seems to to almost be ash but not quite.

I'm wondering if onetweetygirl71 is talking about rebatching, french milled, hand milled? It almost sounds like it when she mentions crockpot and stirring? You guys might be talking about two different methods here. By the way, will you do a demonstration video for your new mold? It looks GREAT, might be something to consider listing on your etsy? ;o)

thanks will have to look at your other one. must have missed it. love that you can get the cp look in half the time.
can i ask you how you oven process. all the other places i have seen said to keep sturing, simaler to crockpot. but yours looks like cp. mine never comes out that way. do you do a basic cp recipe then put in oven at low.. 200? for some time and leave it or something. sorry. but everyone it talking about how much they like it and i dont see it. if mine came out half as nice as yours i would be happy and if it would be in half the time...even better. help please.

The process you are referring to is Hot Process Oven Process HPOP. The technique I use is Cold Process Oven Process CPOP. Make your cold process as you normally put in a PREHEATED oven at 170 deg. for 1hr. Turn off oven but let the soap remain in the oven over night. I like to make my soap in the evening to keep from tieing up the oven all day. I usually keep it in the oven at least 12 hours. 24 is better. Your soap will past the "zap" test and will only need to cure 2 weeks to dry.

Hello, loved the mold. you saidl you made oven processed soap. i was wondering the difference between oven processed and crockpot? do you prefer one to the other or either will work. and why? thank you for your great videos. keep them coming.

@onetweetygirl71 Hello, thank you for your questions. I LOVE the oven process. You still get the look of a cold process soap but your cure time is cut in half! Within 15 minutes your soap is at full gel. Colors are bright. I'm able to do my fancy swirls. Have you seen my other videos? I show a black rose & cherry tobacco swirl soap that turned out gorgeous. I could never do that using the crock pot method.

Wow, Tell your son, he did an awesome job on that. I am a tad jealous. lol Kelly, another thing we have in common: I worked at a sign shop too and used vinyl lettering and graphics. Can't wait to see those new soaps. That sucker looks like it will be heavy filled with all that soap. lol

@1dreampainter Yeah, if my calculations are correct it should hold 24 lbs of soap. So I would say it will be about 30lbs. It definately will have its own "special spot" where once its filled it won't be moved, LOL! Soap will be lifted out of it with "straps" under the liners. I shouldn't ever have to move it.
