no, just because Kanaeva is a different type of gymnast than either Kapranova or Sessina. Yet, i'd say it's not about RUSSIAN style, those routine's a Viner's style (classical kinda stuff), but this one was done by Evgenia's coaches, who clearly have a different approach. As in all of her previous routines as well.

i think it is not special enough for her..you know..she can do more difficult element

If it is true that Viner did not like this routine, then I must say; what is wrong with her? This routine has great potential, and I like it a lot. Way better than the routines of Sessina and Kapranova.

Yes, this is very Ukrainian in feel, particularly the triple change lep leap series under the throw...
I think it's great that the top gymnast of the moment is trying new things and adding new tricks; it keeps things fresh. That said, I hope the Ukrainians can come up with strong routines that can compete when the judging is fair (which it often isn't).
