Vaccines & Rising Autism Diagnosis: Correlated?

To what extent is the exponential growth in the autism diagnosis associated with the increasing number of vaccines? Is the MMR vaccine really uncorrelated with the rising incidence of the autism diagnosis? Is it true that the combination of multiple disease agents plus neurotoxins such as mercury and aluminum in vaccines does not increase the risk of seizures and neuroencephalopathies? Ever since the first published study relying on the "Vaccine Safety Datalink" in 1997 (actually a record of reported vaccine injuries belatedly created under the auspices of the 1986 Vaccine Injury Act though represented by the CDC as a record of safety) concerning the additional risks associated with the combination of MMR and DTP vaccines, it has been known that the likelihood of a seizure within a 30-day window of vaccination is greatly increased---by a factor ranging from 210% to 300% (for full documentation see Oller & Oller, 2010). Why is that? What is the real story on vaccines and autism?
