China - New Opportunities

The China opportunity is for companies of all sizes; large, small, experienced or inexperienced in international business. The role of UK Trade & Investment is to help companies navigate that environment.

At the UK-China Business Summit in February 2009, the Prime Minister pledged to work to achieve £10 billion of exports to China by 2010, targeting key areas, and working with UK Trade & Investment and the China government. Three weeks later, hundreds of UK firms met up with a delegation of 150 Chinese companies in London, as part of a buying mission led by Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming. The event presented an opportunity to develop new business partnerships and networks.
