It's amazing how we disrespect and criticize that which we don't understand. This was a beautiful piece with novice contact improvisers exploring new movement pathways. It was refreshing to see the raw movement in such a fragmented structure. Beautifully done!

please don't judge contact improv by this video. The dancers here are, well, some are newbies.. it can be an intense experience, beautiful dancing.... you have to try it

The video isn't the best, and it's meant to be felt, not seen, but try it some time. It's beyond intense.

Actually these are not all "novice contact improvisers" - some of them have been practicing/teaching/investigating CI for years, even decades and have studied and worked with pioneers of the form. Thank you for your respectful comments.
