The next planet I use is Yooj. It's a planet of sky, which I suppose isn't hard to tell considering its shape, what the inhabitants look like, and the music that plays here. My oppone tis Leonyx3 and used the planet Hanihula. You'll be seeing that planet real soon. It's one of the new ones and is actually one of the most difficult to figure out. See it here:

The planet's name is derived from the word "huge," and the European/Australian name of Gigantis reflects this too. Yooj is 280,000 kilometers in size, which means it's twice as long as Jupiter. It's the third-largest planet in this game, though the two larger astronomical bodies, Thirnova and Meteo, aren't really planets. According to the bio, Yooj is actually a spherical planet; you just rarely get to see it because this cloud is always covering it. Seeing that this cloud is much taller than it is wide, I have to wonder if the 280,000 kilometers means the width of the planet itself or of the height of this cloud. The original game's music implied that Yooj is a treacherous place full of torrential rain and thunder, though the music here is peaceful and soothing, which I guess means the weather can also be calm.

The inhabitants of Yooj are known as Yoojics. They look like living clouds and are really fluffy like them too. They're 10 meters tall, and 2 billion of them live here. So everything about this planet is big. Of course, everything's relative, so they probably see all other planets, their inhabitants, and their objects as small.

The size of the playing field reflects Yooj's size, witha maximum possible 11 columns. It kind of looks unfair placed next to Hanihula's, which is only 7 columns wide. But this goes to show you the variety of different approaches between different planets. Ignitions are powerful on Yooj, and the gravity is weak. If the cluster is small enough, you can usually launch them off the top of the screen with just one horizontal ignition or launch them off in a hurry with a vertical ignition. It's really something necessary with Yooj's large size, as you have a lot to manage. Compared to Hanihula, at least. Clusters descend slowly, giving you a lot of time to prepare the next ignition in your chain. Yooj's wide field may mean that you have to keep track of a lot of Meteos at once, but that also akes it less vulnetable to garbage blocks. That's a benefit Yooj needs considering garbage blocks weigh down Yooj's clusters quite a bit.

Another thing you must consider is that, although this place is themed on light and puffy clouds, the Meteos are fairly heavy. Igniting small clusters will send them flying up and away, but once they get past a certain size, your ignitions won't be able to carry them that far. That's both a good thing and a bad thing. You can set up your next chain without fear of the cluster flying away, though of course, it also means that once you finish your chain, you may have some trouble getting them all off the top. Yooj's Planet Impact is Sentinel.

As you may figure, Yooj is good at sending hordes of garbage blocks over, considering its Planet Impact is based around that. Because of the lag, the garbage blocks just restored themselves to Yooj's normal colors, as the Sentinel had worn off by the time they restored themselves. Nevertheless, I managed to take advantage of Hanihula's vulnerability to garbage blocks, which weigh them down significantly.

  • Funny how Yooj had the LONGEST music track in the entire game in the original Meteos. :U I guess it was the "the music is a song that plays throughout it instead of benig different for different circumstances" planet of the game. You know, think Warioware; Mona Pizza, Ashley, Tomorrow Hill?

  • @Sparkz1607 Yeah, i understand. I thought Gelyer in this game was like that too, until I was told that it has three different similar-sounding themes.

  • Yooj has to be one of my favorites. I love the origin and story behind it. Plus, the music is so calming and soothing.

  • I should take a look at footage of Yooj in the original game. I'd like to see what it looks like from inside the cloud.

  • Oh! HaniHula must be those Space Pollinators you were talking about!

  • Yes, it is. That was what I had in mind.

  • Okay indeed, Cavious is a real head-banger. The law of physics say that a rocky planet can't exist by that size...

  • The meter tells you how many garbage blocks will be sent to your opponent. If the opponent has fewer columns, more rows will be taken up.

That means that a wider playing field may have more to manage, but garbage block assaults will be lighter.

  • I'm strong on astronomy too, and I just decided to tune it out when I'm playing this game. There are a lot more head-bangers in this game when it comes to astronomy, like Cavious, a 220,000 kilometer long rocky planet shaped like a hollow potato with a gigantic hole across it.
