i am an egyptian, so one person, when i was going back to egypt, asked my sister if we all live in the pyramids. imagine 70-80 million people crammed into the pyramids.

Thank you! This was my first exposure to Middle Eastern culture too, (granted I was 8 probably) and for the longest time, the time period or any fictional details didn't even register. I actually thought this was what is was like. The racial and gender stereotypes in Disney blow my mind.

i see americans as a slowly decaying "race" due to infighting and supersized value meals. And to be completely honest, that s mostly from movies/literature. I wonder the steroetypes that people have about australians

Point taken. Think for just a moment of the stereotypes arabs have about americans and other westerners. No, we don't all wear cowboy hats, own oil wells in Texas, have 25 guns, aren't athiests, and we damn sure aren't monkeys or pigs. We also love our kids, want peace, many of us believe in God, perhaps not the same way muslims do.. Oh yes, we are actually EDUCATED! No, we don't all believe in what our leaders do, but that is the purpose of a democratic republic, is it not? Pray for peace!

a stereotype, be it a good or bad one is still a stereotype, however i think it is impossible to erase steroetypes completely without also errasing cultures completely. which would be a sad thing indeed.

point in hand is a valid one, but where is the line drawn? disney of cause dont propgate the steroetype i think people expected in this response. but it is a stereotype none the less.
