According to Wikipedia, this song was produced (and liked) by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, but actually written and performed by a band called Grapefruit. Interestingly enough, the group's lead singer, Alexander Young, became better known for the fame of his two brothers: Angus and Malcolm Young of AC/DC fame. Huh.
