You can import P to V from a desktop and not just import a virtual machine from vmware.
But I'm just laughing that you have a hybrid of competitors...thats all.
We at work use both... we use vmware for servers and we are trying to roll out Xendesktop for desktops...

ok im laughing because you still have a vmware bit of software running in your VM Xendesktop machine.
( Look at the running programs on your virtual machine)
But I do love Xen, thanks :)

The virtualization software is VMWARE Virtual Infrastructure 3.5. When you connect to Xendesktop, provisioning server is starting a VMWare Virtual Machine.
This is the reason because you can see VMWARE Tools running on virtual machine.
We could use XenServer, but this scenario is over VMWARE VI3, and Xendesktop integrates well.
I can't understant why you said you are laughing, because it's recommended having VMWARE Tools in VMWARE virtual machines ....
Thank you for your comment.
