Anyway her fundamental point is that we all have some form of bias in us and unless we recognise and acknowledge it we cannot effectively overcome it.

I vaguely remember reading about that study when I was in school (Psych major), but I don't recall much about it. Sounds like I need to read up!

What if someone said "many black people feel threatened by white people when speaking of racism"? It would sound like you are generalizing blacks and talking racist, no? Don't be a hypocrite. Are you saying you disagree with your friend? If you do, then why say "thank you" for he/she mentioning that? I'd like to know your thoughts on reparations for blacks btw.

I'll explain this one more time, then I'm done engaging with you on this. There is a difference between "many" and "all." There is a difference between what I say and what someone else says that I say is food for thought.

Re: reparations, I haven't made up my mind on the issue. I'm considering it with an open mind. You should try that sometime.

What a hypocrite. In your video you go off on how it's wrong to be racist and make generalizations about people because of their race, then you generalize white people by saying that "white people are more uncomfortable or find it threatening when a black person talks about racism". So it's ok to generalize white people, but not any other race, right? What a moron.

I suggest you watch again, and listen more closely. I discussed the observations of another YouTuber (not my own observations/conclusions), and mentioned something that he felt applied to many (not all) white people. I said that it gave us something to think about.

That is nowhere near the same as your accusation that I made a generalization about all white people. Please get your facts straight before accusing others of hypocrisy.

Instead of getting tough on crime we need to get tough on the causes of crime! Poverty, lack of opportunity, drugs and mental illness. Yes, the crime rates in certain demographics may be higher? But have you ever considered the reasons for this? We need more funding for education, after school programs, equality, rehabilitation programs and other social justice programs!

But really,it's quite depressing how people spend their lives trying to put black people down and how many people actually believe them.
