@Afterglow2046 nice comment.

@Afterglow2046 True. But you can add Renoir, Tarkovski, Resnais, Lynch, Kubrick, Ozu, Reygadas, Sokurov, Zvyagintsev.

Jonathan Rosenbaum is a fucking tard. the guy actually called howard hawks a racist
-
Don Quixote, The Other Side of The Wind, The Mercant of Venice, are the films
lost? Perhaps excerpts are to be found in film archives or private collections.
Would like to see future Criterion editions like Mr. Arkadan. The Making of Othello
by Gary Garver is another film rare film.

he is the opposite of roger ebert

The footage of "Don Quixote" should be uploaded and available for download to all for an international competition in film. Anyone with access to the web and editing tools could then upload his own vision - based on Welles'. IMHO Orson wouod have LOVED YouTube - grandest medium potential since Gutenberg!
-
rosenbaum could be a character for a coen brothers film!

This dude has a face for radio.
Silence of the lambs , Leon , the descent are ultimately worthless compared to the work of Welles, or Bresson or Dreyer. Please Watch More Art

rosenbaum may be the greatest critic of the last 25 years. show respect for the man, hes retiring, and he knows his movies.
