  • awesome video mate, really great work. just wish it was on the sunny side so you could see a bit more detail.

    whats the kw running? C15-C16?

  • @baldymp3 It's a Western Star (about 18mths old) and it's running a Signature dialed in at about 520hp. When I set the camera up I knew it would be on the shady side of the truck but if I had put it on the other side I think it would have ruined the effect of the trailers snaking around corners. I will try to shoot this again, either in the afternoon or running the opposite direction. It's all an experiment. Plus, this is just a rough edit.

are you empty, you gone really fast

  • @twocrowsdown hey that was a good video i thought it was a top spot to film it from

  • Toll must be a big company down there, I see a lot of thier trucks on youtube.

  • cool vid i hope u had plenty of tape holdin that camera on lol

  • This is a rippa vid mate, found my way here purely by accident and Ill be back, (love the bullbar one too) cheers.

  • That is some fantastic footage. Drove B-doubles over east for awhile, would love to have a crack at driving a triple some day

  • Superb vid as uaual. looks like you where heading south through meekatharra..Did you come from Darwin down to Perth.

  • @twocrowsdown shit i knew they didnt like them but didnt think they had that much effect.

lol cant imagine the stock boy would like them at all, lots of place on them trailers for a cross wind to blow through and umm hook up for want of a better term.

  • @baldymp3 Crosswinds just seem to get in between each trailer and will slow the roadtrain down to 75-80km/h. Headwinds aren't such a drama - they just hit the front of the truck on flow around the trailers. Just ask a stock carrier about side winds - then delete all the four letter words ;)

  • @twocrowsdown guess u have to find a workable compramise at the end of the day. i dont care what you got up the front when you are pulling 3 trailers a hill is gonna slow you down regardless. some might hang on a bit longer but when you look at it from the end of the day it wont be that big of a difference.

why are the cross winds so hard on them?
