Living in Japan, Filmmaker Robert Clyne produced a show called Fight Japan for years. Now, he has moved his show to Thailand, where it is called The Art of Fighting. In this extremely well-produced episode, Robert meets up with Antonio Graceffo (the host of the web TV show, Martial Arts Odyssey to explore Muay Thai Chaiya, an ancient and extremely effective form of traditional Muay Thai, taught by Kru Lek.

Muay Thai Chaiya stresses strong defense, using elbows and forearms to wrap around, and protect the head. Defense can quickly convert to offense, however, when those elbows are used for vicious strikes and attacks. The Muay Thai Chaiya kick is something Antonio has never encountered before, as he struggles through a sparring session with one of Kru Leks leading students, Tae, a Thai movie star and professional fighter with a winning record. See Antonio get kicked repeatedly with the low, sneaky Chaiya kick, which cripples the legs and neutralizes even the strongest attack.

  • actually muay thai has ground fighting aka ( in parter),but it's very rare to happen.

  • @malganus4 No, there is absolutely NO RECORD anywhere of ANY form of Thai ground fighting. if you have a source for your statement, please share it.

  • lol at the last second, was it neccessary?

  • on Robert's show, it is always necessary that Antonio gets beat up. I am learning to live with it.

  • Still stretching bro? I hope you are conditioning your shins too. The elbow blocks remind me of Kuntaw, so do those leg kicks, stay light, don't just take those, hop back and regroup, lift your leg, throw a kick, take your pick. Hope you are having fun, I know I would be.

  • @khairuleven Thanks for the constructive criticism. Obviously, I train every day, so if you watch some of my recent fights, you can evaluate if I have made any improvement.

  • @ichibang15549

by the way, in the MMA tournament, i won my first fight and one of my khmer friends came in second in his division. you dont need to say sorry. we are happy with the results.

still dont understand the rest of your comment, though, is it that you believe the ground fighting we used in the tounrament was actually muay thai and not bokator or jiu jitsu? Because if it is, muay thai doesnt have ANY ground fighting.

  • @ichibang15549 sorry, I can't quite follow what you are saying here. are you saying that I stole Muay Thai from Thailand? I'm pretty certain it's still there. You should check first. also i dont understand "apply it to bokator" do you mean i added muay thai to my bokator or that i fight against bokator using muay Thai? which Thai people specifically do you represent? and what is it that I will be forever remembered for? Have you consulted with Kru Lek or Kru Ba, or any of my Muay Thai teachers?

  • ANTONIO..Look on my wall here on youtube.com..I madea birthday present for you my friend.Peace today..James
