It wouldn't surprise me, his brother hasn't been prosecuted for trafficking. Karzai is a good president but the problem is do you eradicate 90% of the entire income that is a black market and make the people suffer and what are the alternatives to change the course of their poverty? It's not an easy issue, especially with tribal provinces that do not recognize a federal authority.

@taoofmichael if you turn on the tv you almost have to know these things, but beheadings and jailing of dissidents were happening long before we arrived, while i understand that muslims do not like non- muslim troops on the soil of mecca and other holy sites, what i fear is the reaction when israel destroys the mosque in jerusalem to rebuild their temple ( i am sure they will try to make it look like an arab bombing) our blind support of israel is an issue we must tackle
