Sylvester Stallone's lame attempt at capturing open wheel racing at its very best. In other words, crashes ahoy and continuity can kiss his ass. Renny Harlin's cinematography is commendable but.

No wonder Bernie vetoed an F1 version. This is CART (later ChampCar) racing based in the USA.

Sequence:
0:00 - Tanto's coin trick
2:44 - Huge backflip crash
3:08 - Tanto and Bly race through the city streets
6:36 - Huge launch crash
7:00 - Huge flying and tumble crash
7:42 - Various spins and crashes
8:00 - Huge multi-car crash.

Alternative titles: Alta velocidad, À toute vitesse, Alta velocidade, Felpörgetve, La viteza maxima, Mrboleli, Ruutulippu, Võidusõit, Viteza maxima

  • @MasterOfPros Fair enough, but it's not F1.

  • @JuanKyam but... they look like f1 cars... so how isnt it f1?

  • @MaeteraEditing Because it's different series - the cars have different engines, tyres etc and run on different kinds of track from F1. Google "compare f1 to cart".

  • @calfan3 Informate before writing, McQueen is the actor of movies such as Bullitt and Le Mans (whose producers were also the spectacular "Grand Prix"). A shame that you confuse McQueen with a character from a Disney movie ...

  • hahahha look at his tires at 1:58 lmfao he's going so fast with his tires at a dead stop XD

  • É impressão minha ou a "narração" das corridas desse filme é Paul Page (o narrador norte-americano que narrava as corridas da CART nos anos 80 e meados dos anos 90)?!?

  • @bru5520

A good %60 of the McQueen film is comprised of real race footage from the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Its basically a dramatized replay of the actual race...

  • These crashes might not be realistic, but most of them do not even compare to the recent crash that killed Dan Wheldon. RIP Lionheart

  • Sylvester Stallone chose to film a sport which creates its own drama, Then chose to ignore it and write the most ridiculous car film ever made.

Couple that with a script written in gibberish/made up technical jargon and racing sequences being strewn together with footage from completely different locations and you get this train wreck.

It isn't just a shit racing film, its a shit film.

Watch Le Mans by Steve McQueen.

  • @Apire98

Thats because this movie is about the CART series.. not F1..

  • Whats the name of the very last song?

  • @MaeteraEditing they dont even look like f1 2000 cars!
