DAMIAN MARLEY CREATING HIS OWN LEGACY

Damian Marley is the youngest son of reggae icon, Bob Marley, and the budding star not only had to overcome his dad's musical accomplishments but that of his siblings Ziggy, Kymani, and Stephen Marley. Damian won a Grammy Award for his 2001 set, Halfway Tree, but this year's Grammy Awards were his real coming out party. He not only won his second best reggae album Grammy, he also won the Grammy Award for best urban alternative performance.

While Marley definitely wants to create his own legacy but he does understand the benefits of his famous last name. Damian Marley is still promoting his gold certified album, Welcome To Jamrock. The latest single from the project is "Road To Zion" featuring Nas....

I had a friend in college who was Rasta and he had short hair. My understanding is there is no requirement to grow locks it's just a way to identify your affiliation with the Rasta religion. Kind of like the Jews started circumcising their male children to show their allegiance to the Jewish belief system.
