The City of Philadelphia did a great disservice to the many African Americans who are deserving of advancement in their careers. The backlash will continue to gather steam.

Excellent, im tired of seeing affirmative action, color should not matter in decisions for making something better for yourself, take those ideas and go to another 3rd world country we do not need this in america!

you're welcome. i congratulate the fire men who won the case. this is why i dont consider al sharpton & jesse jackson as my leaders b/c if they were real ones, they would of been there supporting the men who were denied.

Good for you Lekesha!!!! We need promotions based on merit only. We should also help people of any race in trying to do well on promotional exams.

What a mature response! You clearly are the superior human. Of course, you do know that the one black judge on the SC sided in favor of the firefighters, right?

5 to 4 ruling was unjust, it was clear discrimination. Ginsburg Stevens, Souter, & Breyer are political racists. To say this ruling will not have staying power is a threat to all who seek fairplay and justice in this country.

Take that darkies and dirtbags! XD Whitey pwned your asses!
as a black female, i agree with the verdict. it wasn't fair to not give the promotions.

Al Sharpton is for Al Sharpton. I do not see him as a spokesperson for all Black people.
