I hear it's very good for graphic art in Photoshop (with its great Wacom pen), and now they sell at ca. $350 used, minimum 1GB Ram, 50GB HDD, XP Tablet Edition, which is very light and doesn't eat all your Ram like Vista or Win7 ;-)

The screen is the only difference? What about the processor? R400: Core Duo 1.4ghz and M700: Core 2 Duo 2.4.
That is a pretty significant difference.
R400 does not have a dvd. M700 does.
M700 HDD twice the size.
Comparison idea is good, but there is more than just the screen.
