El Samurai (Part I)

El Samurai. The first installment of the trilogy. Mike and I pulled this film out of our asses one night in June, 2002 while hanging out at my place. It was completely improvised. We really didn't know where we were going with it, nor did we think it would spawn an epic trilogy. We filmed the whole thing in my house and neighborhood in [the former] Evergreen Park Homes in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

The Taiko music heard in the film is by the Japanese Taiko group, Kodo. All other music is from the Tenchu video games for the original playstation.

For those wrestler fans out there who thought they were getting into something else, sorry. We did in fact steal Osamu Matsuda's wrestling name for the title of this film.
