VG-99 Acoustic Guitars demo

The Acoustic Guitars of the VG-99. The video is bad but the sound should be ok.

This demo was made when the VG-99 just came out and people were eager to see and hear this. The quality is very poor because I didn't had the right equipment then.

These days there are much better recordings available on YouTube.

I plan to buy a vg-99 an 1 month. Do you know any site to download patches for vg99?

Hi, just type "VG-99 patches" You'll find several usergroups. After subscribing you can download loads of patches, including mine ;-)

Anyway, I'm using the Goding LGXT (electric guitar). So all these sounds are from the VG-99.

If you search for "VG-99 patches" You will find the VG-99 forums. (and patches offcourse).

@Geepsterr I thought the reason why my VG 880 didn't do nearly as good acoustic as my Variax was the magnetic hex pickup but your excellent Godin uses the same bridge & hex piezo as my Variax and still your VG sounds about the same as My VG 880. Apparently Line 6 knows something about modeling acoustic guitar that is a well kept secret. Still I love the VG stuff for electric sounds and some other really cool stuff.

The very cheapest Variax on a recording can fool you into thinking you are hearing a real acoustic . Roland and Roland/Fender can not even come close. The low E and A strings sound vastly inferior when compared to a Variax.

Hello,

As a huge Clapton fan, I'm fascinated by his synth and acoustic guitar playing. Does the VG-99 work with the Roland G-202 (twin humbuckers) and G-505 (3 single-coils) Strat-style guitar synthesizers? Because I saw Clapton using a G-505 during the Behind The Sun period in 1985 and an assortment of Martins.

Erg leuke demo! Ik heb zelf de VG-8 nog ergens liggen en gebruik een Variax + een POD XT Live en had tot vandaag nog nooit van de VG-99 gehoord wat een fantastisch ding! Bedankt voor je demo!
