  • PS, don't miss the first total lunar eclipse in two years! It will grace the sky the night of Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 (natures Christmas present).

  • Thanksgiving sky: Jupiter, Venus, moon together

Look in the southwestern sky — no telescope or binoculars needed. The show will even be visible in cities if it's a clear night

Starting Thanksgiving evening, Jupiter and Venus will begin moving closer so that by Sunday and Monday, they will appear about a finger width apart held out at arm's length.

Monday night, they will be joined by a crescent moon

The next time the three will be as close and visible as this week will be Nov. 18, 2052

  • so is the other side better??? anyone??

  • It has two faces

    One for show

    another less dazzling

    But both equally impressive

  • It is highly speculated that the other side of the moon holds alot of unnatural artifacts. It's been 40 years since we supposedly put a man on the moon and still we have no close up images of anything on the moon except what the asstroNOTs took pictures of.

  • I believe NASA reported it will soon be shifting focus to closer celestial interests

  • Why does the far side hasn't crates?? Look like a freezed sea of milk. (:

  • I think we got the good side.

  • i don't think it is, i prefer the visible side. it has a lot more detail and those big patches of dark gray rock and you can see one of the poles on our side.

  • Now that is interesting. I wish 8th grade science proposed questions like that!

  • cool vid

  • wow this is amazing.

seems like the far side doesnt have too much craters
