This is a video that basically shows the capabilities of Free Track, a free head motion tracking program that can allow you to create the feeling of actually being in the cockpit. The program is obviously on my program but the two other components: the hat and the camera require extensive yet achievable construction and our shown at the end of the video. This program is compatible for many programs including Red Viper 4, Falcon 4.0 Allied Force, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, 2004, and X. For a full list please go to the free track website. Please note that the "Roll" degree of freedom is not shown in any of the clips because I turned it off on purpose for comfort reasons. The plane featured in all Falcon games is the F-16, the USAF's best all-around platform for ground attacks and air superiority. Song: Freebird by Lynard Skynyrd

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Buy/Download and then install Falcon 4.0 (The original 1998 version, not falcon 4.0 allied force!)

2) Go to Filefront and search for all files relating to "Falcon 4.0 or Falcon 4"

3) Under the "mods" link, there should be a file named Open Falcon 4.5 One Click Install, download this and install it. The install manager for Open Falcon will essentially load the mod over the "Microprose/Falcon 4" folder.

4)Once you get there your going to run into some issues. Contact me when you get these issues and I will walk you through.

  • dude... i use freetrack without any probs in fsx, and im new.. i mean really new to this game i have no idea how to configure freetrack for falcon 4.0 can you please tell me how you configured this! and also wich keys i should press for 3d cockpit.. :) ty! :)

  • @dilshan1994

All you need to do is enable the TrackIR "vector" (I believe it is), in the control settings when you fire up Open Falcon. I haven't personally flown in a while so it is hard for me to remember. The one thing to note is that it is activated simply by a box in the settings.

  • Hello m8, could you please tell me where can i find the same cockpit as yours? It is the best one i have seen so far

    Thanks in advance

  • @tripialos Hi Tripialos, this video was made witth Open Falcon 4.5. In Open Falcon 4.7, they updated some of the textures. If you like this exact pit, I would recommend just flying with OF4.5.

  • where can i get this game?

  • @ruhroh999 : You need two things: The original Falcon 4.0 simulation as well as a .exe mod called Open Falcon. Please search "global falcon forums" on google to find a forum with information on getting this sim.

  • 4 people only like playing H.A.W.X.

  • It finaly works, using I420 instead of RGB color space.

  • My freetrack 2.2 is not workig at any of falcon versions. I had 2.1 versionof freetrack and worked but is not good at all. Any help about 2.2?

  • @ruhroh999 you can download the Falcon 4.0 base simulator on Global Falcon just mount it up with a cd mounting program or burn it to a CD. Beware though open falcon normally requires significent tweaking to get it preform well.

  • What is this available on? I'm trying to find more airplane games. :)
