THE "SYMPHONY" OF RUSSIAN POWERS
The Powers Symphony is the Eastern Orthodox principle of the relations between the Church and secular power (mostly in the Byzantine tradition, derived from the Empire times), when the state and ecclesiastic powers stay in an agreement (the harmony) and collaboration (the synergy), according to the theologian analogy of the Divine and human natures of Christ.
In historic reality, the State/Church symphony rather was a strong instrument of mutual action on repressing the free-thinking and using the terror tactic of influence on the people masses.

Lie? You don't know that Stalin ordered to create a new Russian Orthodox Church in 1943? It was the top of his dictatorial triumph, like a Bizantine Emperor. The Clergymen, the agents of NKVD in the same time, paid the same to Stalin: all the last time of his life he received elogies and special prayers from Moscow Patriarchate. You should just look the historic materials, available today in different archives, including the "Journal of Moscow Patriarchate" of that time...

this video is lie... 1st of all because stalin and church was enemyes. Stalin's officers killes priests, or arrested them, and burned down churches! Comunists made fun of religion, like we are working, and those aren't doing nothing just praying. Like I said churches were burned down, Stalin was asshole but still him and religion didn't go so well. Maybe 'cos he was devil from Georgia and not Russia.

What is the connection between Holocaust and Russian Orthodox religion? I am missing a point here ....Russian Orthodox Religion (pravoslavie) was an underdog under the Soviets. Now they are trying to integrate into society ... this is natural, look at other countries.

What the heck! Is this guy a man of truth or a Jew hater? I agree that many evils have been done manipulating a church-state alliance. It's really all about power, and that has been a great way to keep the sheeple down. My question is, how does this always seem to come down to a Jewish conspiracy in the comment section. I suspect the author may be culpable. But if that is what he really believes, be a man of honor, and come out with it. Don't let minions bring it up in the comments.
