With all the magnificent food that's produced on our own doorstep, we make a pretty good job of feeding ourselves in the Isle of Man. Flour, fish, bread, pork, herbs, vegetables, eggs, beef, lamb, honey, milk, cheese, butter, even ice cream. It all originates from local producers.

The second Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival held at the Villa Marina on 25th & 26th September 2010 was hailed a great success with over 6,000 people attending.

The Festival showcased the Isle of Man as an outstanding source of food and drink at all levels and providing the local community and visitors alike with an opportunity to taste and to buy something new and be inspired to try out new recipes and products.

Celebrity Chef Gino D'Acampo said:

"My short visit to the Island has really impressed me. For a small island it produces an impressive range of great local food. In my travels around the British Isles I have come across some fabulous local foods, I think that what's on offer on the Isle of Man can hold its own against the best. I hope to be back to see more of the Island in the near future".
