I have to agree. I can't remember ever seeing a UK Soul flyer that measures up to many of the rave flyers of the 1990s for example.

"Cram EVERY last detail of text on it, and er, better stick a few rare record labels on it to be on the safe side" appears to be the dominant design philosophy...

Witty and well designed flyers seem a bigger rarity than the records sometimes!
