  • @Thoreauificationify Google emergency essentials they sell them there its a good website

  • it is best that when putting things in mylar bags is to halfway seal them with a regular hair straightener, leave enough space to drop in the o2 absorber and then take a vaccumm and suction out the air then finish sealing the bag with the hair straightener, you will need to let it sit overnight and it should be extremely tight just like vaccumm sealing with the food saver. its bugs and oxygen that destroys food.

  • @pranksterguy1 i would be careful, there is one guy who made a video the name of his video is " warning to preppers" he had opened his bucket and there was tons of little bugs inside of it, i always like using DE (diatomaceous earth) before putting stuff in mylars, keeps any and all bugs off! he had the food grade bucket that had the seal.

  • @pranksterguy1 iv head that rice has a shelf life unless it is un-hulled . do you know anything about this ..also, what about wheat or oats ? i htink you can buy wheat by the bushel dirt cheap and i think that the wheat lasts for ever.. also suger is cheap and will last for a long time .

  • @pranksterguy1 Same thing I was going to say - I think the buckets are air tight, the lid has a rubber seal.

  • Very good

    Salute from Switzerland

  • I keep my rice in 5 gallon food grade buckets from Home Depot. I don't use mylar bags or O2 absorbers-and I think it'll last forever plus 15 minutes! Seriously I don't think I need the bags or O2 absorbers if the rice will be used within the next 12 months or so.

  • In another video we saw someone putting his rice into super pails and placing dry ice at the bottom to "kill eggs." This makes us very nervous. If I don't do what he did but do what you do will we have a bug problem??

  • I can't find Mylar bags anywhere and I'm not sure which online source to trust to buy them. : /

  • nice video sir. great idea
