Is a Mac cheaper than a PC?

In this video, I check to see if that's true.

I also show the difference of the PC and Mac price.

This may possibly be anti-mac or anti-PC...for you to figure out.

If you don't like my results, prove me wrong. Oh ya, don't make screwed up situations. (Ex. Don't put a $1000 iMac with Core 2 Duo against a $6000 Alienware with Core 2 Duo Extreme Quad Core.) These two computer were similarly configured and had similar specs. Post a response. If a find it factually correct, I will accept it.

it's pretty well known that Macs are more exspensive than PC's if u compare them only to the hardware. Mac OS X Tiger costs around 130€ and includes all features, Vista Basic costs about as much and is crap...

maybe because the macs can go up to 32gb of ram! (;.;)

and only the pc's at highest go up to 8gb of ram and still crash because it's too fast LOL

You picked vista home, It has (0) usefull applications. Its ok if you only need notepad, And use the internet.

Oh yeah I dont own a MAC.

But I will definatly buy one as soon as I get a few dollars. VISTA is aweful

Macs can still get viruses. Don't think its impossible.

If you bought a junk laptop, of course Vista won't run on it.

My previous school was running OSX 10.3 on G3 iMacs. They always kept crashing and they were super slow. It wasn't so great.

I actually ran Windows XP (smoothly) on a computer with an Intel Pentium II 266MHZ processor. It originally ran Windows 95.

Did you buy them? What one boots up quicker, also you have antivirus, and firewall to buy every year for the PC, a mac, nothing. Plus, look on apples website for reasons to buy a mac, their current OS, Tiger, can be run on macs around 7 years old! Vista wont run on my Laptop thats 6 months old! Well, only the Home basic one.

My web programmer used to say the same thing all the time. I asked him why ONLY computer people value after-market products, when in every other industry the same is considered crap. Swear this is the truth, I was sitting in his office when his data base was destroyed from a worm. I have never laughed at someone so hard. It was hilarious watching his company crash. I fired him and left. LMFAO. True story.

Not good eough to warrant as a response, however just so you know people buy macs for the OS, not for hardware quality. Hence the reason PC's will always dominate the buisness, gaming, and supercomputer marketplace. There are so many companies that compete and make hardware for PC's that the competition is bound to lower the price, for the system, however as previously mentioned the increased mac price is made up for buy a smoother OS.
