I wrote a new song. As usual, I am fond of the lyrics and the song itself, but not of my performance of it. This is an EXTREMELY rough version of it.

So I met this waiter two days ago
And I thought he was sweet, so I left a note
Wrote my telephone number and a "let's talk again" on the bill

Well, he called me today and he asked me out
It took all that I had not to give a shout
All the butterflies dancing and the flirtations prancing around, but

So, he picked me up at half-past-eight
And I was so nervous about the date
But he smiled on behalf of me and soon we were laughing away

Well, he was charming and knew how to make me smile
And we couldn't stop grinning for a little while

That he liked me a little bit, too, but

Well, the time came for him to take me back and

As I went in and left him on the doorstep.
