Is the Katadyn water bottle worth it? I've dabbled with the idea for years, but until now just made do with the hiker and vario.

Being 60 years old and traveling the world, I decided on the MEI Voyageur. It's max carry-on size and the shoulder straps and waist belt zip away if you want to carry it with a shoulder belt or regular carry handle, 1000 D Cordura.

How much money do you need to travel for a month and a half? It costs a lot of money to get over to say, spain.. Do you need a lot of money once you get there? I'm going to have close to 2 grand for next summer, will this be enough to travel to spain and around europe??

i recommend buy "gas-X" strips.. they're like those mints that you put on your tongue and they dissolve but this take every stomach ache away ! i loove them, if you dont feel to go, simply take one and in five minutes you're fine

Awesome tips! As a fellow backpacker, it´s interesting to see what others bring. You can always pick up on something new & what I got out of this video was the suggestion for the headlamp! How cool is that?!?! I´ll get one myself. Also, the practical advice about less is more couldn´t be more spot on. I can´t believe what some people haul all over the place, practically taking their entire _______ house with them in a pack sized form.

Thank you so much for this tips!

How much money do you expect to spend, do you sleep on the street or you sleep always in hostels and things like that? Do you hitch-hike?
Good travel! See ya on the road

i did 6 months with a 46 liter pack (smallest of all travelers i met) and ended up giving away a bunch of stuff after a few days. you realize quickly how little you need once you get on the road. next time i plan on bringing even less; sub 12 pounds. it really does make a difference; people with too much stuff are always regretful of their packs.

@avalanchesoul Definitely! I would bring less stuff on another trip around the world. I mostly carry just my equipment now and buy clothes as I need them. Way more liberating!

@worldli
yeah, with enough trips we might end up taking off with just a fanny pack! j/k :P
happy travels!

@avalanchesoul I have a buddy who is traveling around the world without any luggage and writing a book. It's called "The Luggageless Traveler," and he literally has no bag. Just a pair of cargo pants and a jacket. And a smartphone that he is using to write the book on. It's kind of crazy really!

@avalanchesoul He's definitely a crazy guy! I think he is doing it more for the hook and attention rather than a philosophical belief though! Haha

Thanks for the hints. I smiling with the details... but you're right, is a serious thing traveling internationally. One have to take extra care. International travels sounds funny and exciting! Thanks again.

@jamaro65 It's definitely not easy, but with a little planning and a lot of confidence, anyone can do it!!
