Good one by The Ideals.. This is one of the shortest records I've ever heard, coming in at exactly 2 seconds longer than Stay by Maurice Williams and The Zodiacs. I've timed them both: Stay = 1:34 and Knee Socks = 1:36.

  • I htink it is the shortest doo wop song ever, at just 1 minute and thirty seven

  • The shortest commercially released record I know of is "You Were Mine For A While" by The Fireflies.. It's 1:21 long

  • I love the upbeat tempo and of course the bass lines. It's a wonderful rocker with a typical complimentary sound of a sax. Too good to listen to just once. Thanks PJ!

  • It's also too short to listen just once lol

  • I am glad I subscribed, all your stuff is really good!

  • Thank you very much for the kind words
