@zarjesve2 Well, I used it for a school newspaper. There were programs like Paint and Write. The rest of the computers were UNIX.

still boots faster than vista... god i wish i had one of those old beauties.

I wish I still had mine. :(

@pikefan23 It's so funny how many people treated the Mac hardware and software as "toys," and they were "baby computers." But it's MS-DOS/Windows that had GAMES! I guess fans of the second camp were not fans of getting work done. Instead they wanted to play games on their PC's :)

my english teacher has one of these but he gutted it out and turned it into a fishtank... no idea why considering the value of these computers :\

@zarjesve2 * irrelevant. I dunno bout you but I fully agree,Windows is crap. still is.

My windows 7 box (with SSD) boots pretty quickly

Still have one of these! Complete with a 1MB Hard drive which it sits on top of
This thing is revolutionary in its time. The GUI and the clickable icons are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay earlier than Bill Gates and his MS-DOS.

@nucleartactician yes, all computers from 1984-5, except PC, have GUI (Amiga, Atari, Mac...)
PC (l)user wait almost 8 years ('till 1992) for mainstream GUI OS only because Microsoft manage to crush DRI GEM gui OS from 1984 with DRI own, 7 years old, CP/M!! (aka M$ DOS)).
it same right now: PC users will wait for true tablet OS from Microsoft for years... or they can use iPad right now :)
...just like they could use GUI OS on Mac (or Amiga, or Atari) in 1984 ;)

@PrinssiFO yes, but there was no programs for early version of Windows and nobody use it. Until version 3.0 Windows was largely un-relevant.
