fighting amongst youths is usually to establish status...so if you don't have a desire to be recognized by that status structure, then you can make your own...as it seems you already are...just stay strong and focused and things will be cool...and you will learn more about who you truly are, rather than who somebody else wants you to be...

I hate to be a debby-downer but isnt peace not possible? Isn't it natural in the animal world to fight for territory and to kill to survive? Aren't we essentially animals.

I know useless fighting like Gangs should be put to an end. But you can never stop the fighting that is based around the want and need of land.

that is a serious question...and one that needs deep introspection into the ideas of evolution and the nature of progress...it is not one easily answered with a "yes man will always be violent" or a "no, peace is possible"...it will have to be a long drawn out conversation about human nature and truth and justice...

they realize them as fashion statements

on the topic of the soldier dying in battle:

i feel it is more as a respect.

if someone died fighting for this nation and in the heat of battle i respect them and they deserve a proper burial.

death is a part of life and it always will be.

might as well respect it, and move on.
