This tutorial is on using sketch up to draw a simple 3D model with textures and using Google's 3D Warehouse. In addition, the potential for use with papervision 3D is discussed through sketchup's 3D collada export.

  • I have a question, how to i resize things from the 3d warehouse? thanks for the vid dude, i know how to make a roof :D

  • Two ways - click the s key (for size) or go to View Tool Bars Large Tool Bar set and the size tool is on the Large Tool Bar. Has a diagonal arrow on it.

  • 1. thats a rectangle. 2. thats cyan, not magenta. 3. why would you delete the window, why not just make it glass? 4. you don't need to click on each tool every time. orbit and zoom can be done with the center scroll button on your mouse. press down and hold for orbit. there are alternate keyboard or mouse conrols for almost all tools. look them up.
