I just had a nice harvest of them last weekend, thanks to the early heavy rain. Yum!

Man I love this video. This season will be lonely without you. I hope you keep rocking those pants down south. I don't know how the hat will go over though....

Hi, I'm totally not Kev, but I'd recommend picking up a book- especially one by David Aurora or Paul Stamets- there are a number of easily identifiable edible mushrooms with few or no dangerous look-alikes; some undoubtedly live near you somewhere!

Great video. I love the concepts you incorporate in the shots - like showing the shrooms where you found them and having the "actor" enter the frame and "discover". Nice work.
Try any national forest just east of eugene durring the winter, but not durring snow. They are there if you are willing to scamper up some steep slopes. Peace.

Thanks for the responses. Song is by the Biscuit Burners. Some varieties have distinct characteristics making them easy to distinguish from poisonous species. They look as different as blackberries and poison oak berries. Hedgehogs have no look-alikes, but don't gather unless you're 100 percent positive you've got the right one or you can die!
