Engagement photo sessions are an exciting time and shouldn't be stuffy studio shots. That is unless your stuffy, studio type people! If so, that's okay. If not, and you want Muscle Shoals, Alabama engagement portraits that capture your personaility and show that unique special bond that the two of you have then you are in the right place!

Of course we will get a few somewhat traditional shots but for the most part your session will be real, natural, unposed.
You may choose your location (Any of the local parks, McFarland Park, Diebert Park, Spring Park, The old Railroad bridge, Helen Keller Home are great options) or you may use my location on the bluff overlooking the beautiful Tennessee River in Tuscumbia, Al. Riverside Cottage a Bed and Breakfast, Wedding and Event Venue is my favorite spot to do photo shoots. This location is a unique opportunity for your outside photos as I am the only photographer with rights to shoot at this location outside of those shooting a wedding or event that has been booked there. (If you haven't chosen a place for your wedding or reception-I can't say enough about Riverside cottage-check out their website at http://www.riversidecottage.com. It is a private estate with the most breathtaking view you can imagine. The photo opportunities are endless! Large mature Magnolia Trees, picturesque tree swings, beautiful blooming flowers, red barn, garden house, expansive sweeping lawn, swimming pool with Adirondack chairs, water fountain............and on and on I could go!
If you are wanting to go for a vintage look, then I have the perfect props onsite at my location!
Now as for what to wear...check out my website for more tips and ideas....but above all dress comfortable and be yourself. If skinny jeans are you, then that's what you should wear. Hats, scraves, cowboy boots, earrings, big bold jewely, necklaces, long flowing skirts, mini skirts, fur vests, button up shirts, polo style shirts, jeans and tank top...whatever is you - is great! Just use the guidelines given on the website and you will look great!
If you want to bring additional props feel free to do so. Guitars, or other musical instruments, picnic basket, quilts, something special to you. Something representing your Hobbies, etc. get the idea?
When you see your photos, I guarantee you will look at them and say, "that is so us"! Your pictures will refect your personality and show you, the couple as you really are.
