  • The Filipino community must WAKE UP and realize you are being tricked/fooled into diluting your good-will efforts. You good people should concentrate on human to human issues. I am sure there are many, many people who eat and are treated less humanely than how these fighting dogs are kept by REAL dog fighters. These dogs get the best treatment and food. Do not get fooled by American propaganda.....Go Pacquiao!!! Yes, your country loves fighting sports. Human or animal, same thing.

  • Sir/Lady, you certainly are speaking with ZERO experience on the breed. I understand, you speak from emotion which does not care for rational. FACT: pure working bred dogs are bred for their work-for-purpose. No rocket science to understand this. APBTs are working dogs off a working breed...their work is fighting. Just like the Spartans were bred for fighting and were the best in it. Rather than have your country's money spent on dog issues, use it to reduce human to human crime. priorities.

  • "The dogs were bred to fight" guys let rocky put to the arena in replace of pitbull much better rocky vs the pitbull...i'll put my bet to rocky coz am sure he will going to run

    hahahahahahaha

  • The dogs were bred to fight....their genetics yearns for the fight....as long as the dogs are respected, loved, and taken care of before and after a match, their owners should not be jailed. Humans come before animals...jailing people leave families in pieces. Which is the bigger crime....A person fighting a willing dog or a person jailed for this leaving a family with no father/husband? ALL of these dogs are killed by in the hands of these so-called saviors. Some life is better than none.

  • if dogs like to fight....let them

  • Of course, political capital could be used to help people. This only means that issues dear to us are different. The trial for the accused in the case featured above, 14 of them, will continue on Dec.13th. The case isn't dead. The prosecution got their evidences together and the trial is in Antipolo. Sorry, it seems that the video gave the impression that the case went bust. Not true.

  • Even if there are laws, they are not readily implemented until someone at the top expends political capital(not money) to enforce it. Look at PAWS. They had proof but no BIG-TiME person cared enough to throw in his weight so no one got prosecuted. It's not right but that's how it is. I'm suggesting that, that political capital could be used to help out the poor folks instead.

  • Actually, No. Those are not my sentiments. I don't gloat about escaping the "mess," I don't need anybody to tell me about it. PAWS or any animal welfare group in the Philippines do not get any funding nor political backing from the government. So, you don't have to worry about abused animals competing with poor folks. Leaving ppor countries for those that can make dreams comes true is not the problem here. It is the gloating that I disapprove of.

  • Just let the man vent. Don't you have the same sentiments occasionally? I mean, things are so messed up. I have to leave the country for work so I can hopefully go back and survive(my story). On another note, PAWS would need a big chunk of political capital- something that could be used on helping poor folks instead.
