I can barely stand to watch Tony Bourdain, which is a shame, because his show can be very good. I get what he's trying to do with the "edgy," ex-coke addict personality, but it falls flat. He comes off as a food snob who absolutely MUST unfavorably compare every corner of the world he visits to Manhattan. He's the embodiment of the provincial, "my-place-is-better" American that he claims to have so much disdain for.
-
Travel Channel keeps him because of his ultra Liberal views about EVERYTHING from drug abuse to insulting the locals no matter where he steps his foot in the soil he visits. He's controversial and an alternative to the "sugar & spice" that's on the Food Network from where he started and yet he bites the hand that feeds him and insults Food NT chefs. His shows are good but one day he may choke on a ciggarrette that he finds so tastey.

Oh...man. What are you trying to prove. Turkey is Turkey. Stop acting like wannabees....and just be yourselves.
Turkey has its own music, its own culture.
Appreciate what you are and get over this inferiority complex that the racist and prejudiced European hillbillies have imposed on you.
Are you gonna let that midget Sarkozy burden you with his Islamophobia. Heck...he couldn`t even notice that there is hardly any burqas in France. He can`t see. He`s got his nose in Nethanyahu`s ass.

And by the way, Please don't be so prejudiced to a beautiful country. Come and see your eyes.

Thank you for coming and taste our delicious foods. But, I have to say a few things about some facts during the show.
"Why theme is the arabic music all the time?"
This is so wrong as like many common misinformation about Turkey. Such as; fez, burka, camel etc.. This country is not Morocco, India or Pakistan. Turkish women are independent and modern. Islamic women who cover the whole hair&head or long bearded with loose robe worn like Arabic men are all over the world have not only in Turkey.

I went to istanbul already, did everything tony did 10 years ago
I don't like how they are portraying him as having a good/bad personality.
He is a nice guy, he just happens to say some real shit from time to time.
