  • What's up with all the debate just injoy the song LoL.

  • @varbren I understand your point of view, and I'm not saying that it wouldn't be racist. Specifically, I'm trying to highlight the cultural differences between DR and the US and Europe in matters of race. I know that there's racism in DR (I'm Dominican), but I would even challenge the idea that depicting a black man and a sex fiend is racist.

As for the term "negro" in Dominican culture, I'm don't think that the term alone, without any adjectives, could be offensive, as if "nigger".

  • @jefflunar the song is funny and great, the african is depicted almost as a sex fiend having the hots for an innocent girl; and you get called negro, term of endearment sometimes others not, only if your skin isn't white thus the monkey-like sounds lead many people to think it's racist, at least in europe that's the case

  • @varbren I just wanted to make sure that everybody is aware that "negro" is a term of endearment in many Latin American countries. My mom calls me "negro" and her father used to call her "negra,." Regarding the African sounds, why is that racist?

  • i see where pitbull gets it from

  • @PrinceMishka By the way "el negro me destapa" means "the black man takes away the covers" (as in bedsheets), not "my top". And in the latin culture, especially those from the Caribbean, calling somebody Negro is often a term of endearment. It's even used for people who are white. We do the same thing with "Chino" (Chinaman).

  • @PrinceMishka

I'm sorry but your Spanish is lacking and you clearly don't take into account the cultural implications, or the fact that the singer himself clearly has some african ancestry...

This song is NOT about rape. It's about a young married couple in which the girl has no idea or concept of sex. She doesn't know why her husband takes off her covers at night, the reason he is "rabid" is because he can't get any from his wife and she doesn't even know what he wants

  • La musica esta buena.

  • @BasedGodDom

i dont think you do. this is a really racist song. it's about a black man trying to rape a little girl and the girl tells her mom to tell her dad. "mami que sera lo que quere el negro means "mom what does the black want?" "mami el negro esta rabioso" "el negro me detapa" means the black man is rabid...the black man takes off my top"

  • Loved this song when I was younger
