From film: "Sing Ye Gú"
LYRIC
************************************************************
(Houy Meas) What a silence nature,
You seem have excessive worried as I,
Part of me, I concerned about love,
Afraid that his heart is fleeing,
Love far away from myself,
I could not see your face,
Who could I count on?

(Samouth)I wont forget you,
I fall apart from my beloved one,
I go to help the nation and religion;
Please concentrate my dear;
Ill come back, come to you;
You wait to see me again.

(Houy Meas) I am a woman,
Remember and miss the tender touch of you;
But I could not ban you,
This time, I should worry.

(Samouth)Please smile,
For keeping the prosperity of happiness;
I leave but my heart is always be with you;
I will never forget you;

(Houy Meas) I dont have anyone to count on;
you are the only one;
please take care;
I pray for you;
Soon, you come back and make love.

(Samouth)Dont worry my love;
I will remember my swearing
I swear and the world is the witnesses;
That I am very loyalty,
Till the day I die

  • i feel that i was born in the wrong era. the khmer oldies seem so familiar to me and make me feel a certain way that i dont feel about any other music.

  • I was just wondering but this song sounds really familiar to the Cantonese Opera The Sacrifice of Princess Chang Ping. Is this just a coincidence or is there more to the story? Either way the song sounds really great.

  • This is one of the few songs that would make me reflect of the hard sarrow times of our beloved country, srok khmer..

  • Words cannot express the beauty of this song. I wish I could experience old Cambodia:*(
