Amazing song, as is to be expected from a band of this calibur.

Taken off of their 1971 album, The Inner Mounting Flame.

I can't say enough about the greatness of The Mahavishnu Orchestra.

They are probably the most talented group of musicians ever to be united in one supreme band and EVERY SONG shows it. I strongly reccomend that you listen to as much of them as you can find.

Too many solos to rate all of them but these guys rarely deliver anything I would rate under a 9.5.

  • @Frobe1357 Now, say it with me "Punk bands have been original and technically efficient in their day too." Thank youh!

  • @Frobe1357 I just felt like having the last say, but there you have it.

  • @GrungeRockabilly I wasn't even aware we ahere still having this argument?

  • @Frobe1357 The tunings were painstakingly developed by Moore and Ranaldo during the band's rehearsals; Moore once reported that the odd tunings were an attempt to introduce new sounds: "When you're playing in standard tuning all the time ... things sound pretty standard."[44]

  • @Frobe1357 Scordatura on stringed instruments has been used for centuries and alternative guitar tunings had been used for decades in blues music, and to a limited degree in rock music (such as with Lou Reed's Ostrich guitar on The Velvet Underground & Nico), but Sonic Youth began using a variety of tunings more radical than nearly anything in rock music history. Azerrad writes that early in their career,

  • @Frobe1357 Expect anything.

  • @GrungeRockabilly I didn't expect to get into a who did what first argument

  • @GrungeRockabilly fun and educational for you, boring and time wasting for me

  • @Frobe1357 Thank you :)

  • @GrungeRockabilly Try the discipline album he did with king crimson
