From reading a few of the comments here I can see a lot of people are complaining about politicians lying but none asking why! The answer to the unasked question is: the ones sticking to the truth don't get elected. The literary Nobel prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa ran against Fujimori for president of Peru more or less on the same policies but wouldn't lie and wouldn't make a mockery of the election campagne. The result: Fujimori got elected and later fled the country because of his corruption

I voted for McCain but only because I thought he had a chance over Obama. To be real our only hope was Ralph Nader. Obama to me is racist, hes going to dish billions of dollars to CEOs, he refuses to show a federal judge his birth certificate, hes the face of the most disingenuous party in recent years, he supports unwarranted phone taps (people refuse to believe that), hes either a liar of completely oblivious to all the scandals around him, he treats the war like its 2002, i can keep going.

Obama didn't participate in the Political Turd Flingin' contests until the very end of the voting season and that's why I like him so much, I feel like he has tact and the he's a good person because of that. But you never know, his election team may have told him specifically not to do it for that reason. So I don't know if he really is a good person, but I really just get the feeling that he is, I feel a kind of kinship with him, I hope he really is a good person. Take care. KYLE

I voted for Obama mainly because I've seen many many politicians over the years (During every presidential voting season) that these people will actually pay for a commercial to advertise about why one of their competitors are a bad choice (I call it "Political Turd Flingin'" like monkeys do to each other) and I've always thought that this was at the very least RUDE and that if I was ever a politician that I'd never do this. Well Obama didn't do it until the very end ---NEXT COMMENT---

In most of the world and especially Europe, the U.S. has lost a lot of credibility. I think Obama will do the best job to restore that credibility. I like all the candidates to some extent but Obama is best choice right now. It's time for a change and even though I respect John McCains service to our country Obama is the only one that can bring about real change as this point. I've always supported the GOP but they haven't delivered what they promised in the last 8 years.

I'm not American. But after enduring the endless lead-up to this election, I'm convinced both sides have no idea what they're doing, or what they stand for.
