  • Since 25 march 2009 only 3172 views??? Conclusion: America is finished. R.I.P.

  • Another great reason NOT to have children.

  • very revealing..people are getting restive...after reading'The Coming Insurrection' i am in...

  • @tomitstube: Books invariably carry provocative titles. For the content one has to peek between the covers and when you do so one finds that, as Hedges notes elsewhere, the iconoclastic heritage of freethought passed down from such high-grade minds as Bertrand Russell and Sartre has been slowly burlesqued by militarists like Hitchens who spread their bottom cheeks for the Neocons with the enthusiasm of Crusaders sacking Jerusalem. Hitchens whoops for the perpetual wars of the Christian Right.

  • excellent commentary and topic. why the stupid book title and what does atheism have to do with a corporatist militant police state?

  • I agree with CH here. Newspapers/magazines etc. force us to read what we did not ask for and hence expand our horizons and take on and interpret events impacting our lives. The Net, on the other hand, tends to force us to receive only what reinforces our limited biases, and hence we never grow much intellectually, socially, culturally, empathetic-wise, or spiritually.

  • this is why we talk about 2012 so much

  • What a shame...are we turning it around, are millions going into the streets before it's too late? As a very young nation, not even 250 years old, will we succumb to the throes of greed?
