Sorry about ur plane but you had 2 prior approaches attempts.. Get a Cub.

Don't you guys do preflight checks -- like verifying that the failsafe is set to cut the engine or at least bring it back to idle? Wouldn't have saved this bird but imagine if it were headed for a crowd of onlookers! The Spektrum/JR failsafe process sucks -- even the cheap Chinese products offer a much better/easier to set failsafe .

I did the same thing on my JR9303 lucky I was taxing out for take off and realize the plane was not responding. A quick look shows the radio was off and the power switch was in the off position also. I guess I was trimming the throttle and switch off my radio. I mod my switch so it wont happen again.

@inciteman 30% is a little less than 1/3 the size of the full scale aircraft. 50% would be 1/2 the size of the full scale aircraft.
FYI. It was 1 approach shown twice. Lol. Ur funny.

Does anyone see the humor here? Jeesh.

Of course we do. See this was brought to you by 'Lesson Learned Films'. Hence a lesson was learned. In this case we learned to re-bind after all setup and servo reversing is completed. Don't get me wrong this was a hard lesson learned , so we poked some fun at ourselves and move on. People should lighten up a little.

Yes 30% of scale. Engine is a DA 50cc. We both are now flying Aeroworks Yak 54's with the 50's. No crashes. Awesome fun!

We use timers for fuel consumption.

Actually, on approach he shut his radio off by accident while trying to lower throttle trim. As soon as you here it go full throttle, just before it flies by, is when he shut down tx and failsafe mode ( programmed at binding ) gave it FULL throttle . He never regained contact with the receiver after that . The lesson learned here is to read step 6 in the JR9303 manual on page G-19 !! Who knew !! Really tough lesson . Just a simple mistake . Wasn't the first and cetainly won't be our last !
