From the star-studded tribute to Johnny Cash recorded at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, in 1999. Raul and the Mavericks provided the backing for most of the acts that night, including Chris Isaak, featured here singing I Guess Things Happen That Way and Get Rhythm. Raul and the Mavericks follow up with Man In Black.

  • I can't get over how many people Raul can sound like, he is absolutely amazing and an unrecognised wizard in the music industry!

    God bless Raul

  • I am old lady who loved Johnny Cash since he started out. I bought a 45 rpm record of I walk the Line. This Tribute was wonderful, and I thank you, Friendofraul, for putting this on UTube. I especially love that sweet boy singing The Man in Black. And I love the Mavericks.

  • you or a legend!

  • Chris Isaak is outstanding in this clip covering JR's songs - his version of Get Rhythm is flat out the best effort anyone has made on the Cash classic. Isaak clearly enjoys rock and roll - try his new album of Sun hits out now Oct 2011.

  • chris issak sucks ass!

  • My God, Chris Isaak is a sexy man! The looks, the voice, the whole package! And he can perform such a wide range of music- rockabilly, blues, country, rock- he makes it all sound SO GOOD! Thanks for posting.

  • Raul Malo, Chris Isaak, both very talented individuals . Backup excellent. What you are hearing in this posting is nothing but the greatest Rock n Roll / country performers that ever picked up a guitar.Treasure it! Your not going to get any better.
