  • @Yelobutterflyable Actually, the yest can also "feed" off the starch in the dough. So it's not always necessary to add sugar to a dough, but it makes the yeast more active.

  • Excelente..Great video..!!

  • Came out of the oven looking like burnt sticks!

  • is there any sugar in french baguette? coz my school, they teach me by adding sugar coz yeast has to eat sugar to work

  • Great video. I make baguettes at home, you put me to shame with technique. Can`t comment on taste of course. You shape about 15 in time it takes me to fan on with one. It is years since I bought bread, ever since I saw what went in it. Causes bloat, IBS and various other gut problems. My daughter lost a stone in weight changing to homemade bread. It has 4 basic ingredients, shop bought has in excess of70---yes 70!! You people do not know what the bakers are doing to you, all in name of profit.

  • @nigeljmills1971 He is storing the handle in his mouth, not the cutting blade. I wouldn`t worry about something as trivial as that. Anyway the heat of the oven will sterilise anything that goes in, hence bakers don`t keep washing pans etc.

  • a pleasure to see the great craftsmanship

  • does he really keep putting that blade in his mouth and then cross contaminating all of the bread... dirty boy.
