Perhaps my eye sight is not all that good, but looked like the ol net had done lots of fishing...few hole (tears) from previous hauls.

snowbiker111 they leave the fish in becuz they are probly drifting over the line its called power rolling and after they get the whole net in they slowly wind it up and pick the fish out

hey i was wondering if you could give me some info on fishing on bristol bay cause i am working on a bristol bay boat as a deckhand so if you dont mind that would be greatly appreciated

They are power rolling the net in because they are either drifting over the line (outside the fishing boundaries) or the fishing period is closing and they are hurrying to get the net on deck so they wont get a fine.

one question... why do you pull in the net and leave the fish in it? i see other videos they winch the net in and remove the fish as it reels... i know nothing about fishing just curious about the difrent method you use....
