This usually means the OS is severaly corrupted. You can go back in to Recovery Console and try a fixboot command, but the OS is most likely going to need to be reinstalled.

Thanks a lot mate!!!!very helpful tutorial.you saved my life!!!!!!!!
If you have set a password for your account\profile, that would be the one you use. If you did not, just press the Enter key. If it states "invalid password", then you have set one in the past. There is not way to get past it.

It is not seeing the Windows installation, which means either the hard drive is bad, or Windows is severely damaged. Type fixmbr and press enter. Say yes to re-write. Then type fixboot and press enter. These are a longshot. I believe at least Windows is severely corrupted, or worst case the hard drive is failing.

when i type bootcfg /rebuild an error messege apperarsfailed to successfully scan disks for windowsinstallations. this error may be caused by corrupt file system , which would prevent bootcfg from succesfully scanning use chkdsk to detect any disk errors please help me pleASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

@luckygangster54 This means either the Windows installation is pooched, or there are damaged sectors on the drive. Type chkdsk /r c: and press Enter. This will attempt to fix the file system and any bad sectors. It will take a while. If it locks up or keeps starting over, the hard drive is probably bad.
