  • I think that's a Ludwig or Zildjian collander she's playing.

There was a short documentary about how she got the collander, but youtube pulled it. Those collanders are selling for a lot of money these days in Austin and New York City because of the attention she brought to it. She also uses a vintage Ginger Baker Spaghetti Strainer that was sold by Sears back in the 70s.

  • @theart1rm I love the sound of the Wandre. One can find some real treasures at pawn shop and second hand guitar shops. Ugly, cheesy guitars like Wandres and Danelectros are among the best sounding instruments in the hands of a great player like Buddy.

  • Terrific video, thanks for posting. Buddy is a master. He does it all. Nashville royalty.

  • @JustAintthatWay I see you removed your comment. But it was in my e-mail. So your welcome on the intel about the Wandre. By the way he currently has 3 Wandres. When he picks up his Wandre you know you are going to hear some great riffs and that he is ready to rock.

  • @Almanzajj1 Yes their was a short documentary posted about how he came to acquire it, but it got pulled by YouTube. When his band back Robert Plant & Allison Krauss a larger audience came to hear of him. He finally got some recognition. Those Wandre's are selling for lots of money these days, because of the focus Buddy brought to them. He was chosen by Fender to design a guitar. You can now buy a Buddy Miller Fender that has his autograph on it. Fender knows a great guitarist when they see one

  • @theart1rm lucky man!

  • @marchica1 That's a Wandre. He bought it at a pawn shop for $50. He was going to take it home & hang it on the wall. He thought it was the ugliest guitar he had ever seen. He took it to the gig that night & they all laughed about it. He tried it out & it just sound better & better, so he learned how to use all the functions on it, & has been playing it ever since. If he's playing it you're going to hear some great guitar riffs. Listen to Water When the Well is Dry & All My Tears to hear it.
